I know it’d leave more room for noise and connection issues but for smaller setups or maybe mobile setups when not using wireless DMX it might be beneficial to simply create something like surface mount RJ45 jacks connected to XLR male and or female so any length Ethernet cable can be used
Not very tech minded Could I ask why the Gobo Patterns end up not showing full pattern. It either does half or has half of one pattern and half of another pattern as if it isn't in alignment. Hope you understand what I mean. I do have a video of it. Thanks for any help / advice
Nice church lighting
THANK YOU
i can't find the wireless sent from my dmx decoder on the AIR DMX app
anyway to get support for an old device?
What about using Cat6? Cat6A?
Una pregunta, yo tengo un par del mismo modelo, pero no quieren trabajar vía Dmx, solo hacen las escenas que están programadas por defecto, me podrías ayudar con eso?
That sleeve is a strain relief. You sould put it on the sleeve of the cable and not the cable itself to prevent the solder connection from damage.
That's what I was thinking when I watched the assembly part of the male connector. Too much exposed strands.
garrret this was an amazing video and i enjoyed it with my class very thoroughly! thumbs up to you garret! (; 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
THANK YOU

Could you link that manual for the wash 400 (giotto)
Double fail: 1) Connecting under load. As DJ Shuffle has said, you shouldn't be doing this with original PowerCONs, and you should know this! 2) You shouldn't just be hand tightening the bushing (2:19, 3:57). If you'd bothered to read the assembly instructions, you would have seen this: "Fasten bushing by means of a fork wrench 7/8” (SW 22) or with the Neutrik handtool HTFAC, min. Torque 2.5 Nm (1.8 lb-ft)." Therefore, if it's assembled properly, one would need a tool to open it up and potentially expose live conductors, just like any other mains electrical connector. Please read the instruction (www.neutrik.com/media/10217/download/bda-452---powercon---nac3fca---nac3fcb.pdf?v=1) and educate yourselves.
Yes, this is helpful for those who study performance or performing arts. Good information 👍
Nice action!
Good video, quick question tho does this mean if you have 10 different strips and want them to work separately from each other then You need 10 different decoders?
Kuuuks if you want them to work independently yes. What I like to do is have say 4 decoders and maybe 8-12 alternating rows.
Does one decoder control only one light? so if i get the decoders with like 8 outputs i can control each strip seperately?
I’m watching this for Drama for online class
Priscilla Esho yup me too, this is Ayoub btw
Ayyy it’s Alex
How is music over lecturer helpful?
What type of DMX controller are you using?
Javier Hernandez Chamsys magic Q PC
Do you have links to where to buy all these? :) 🙏🏻
Do you have a link to where you bought the light your using at 3:15
Wicked lighting guide, and really cool examples of how to tune things. Anyone know the name of the song in the background too? Strange question I know, and I've seen a couple people complain about the music. But the song sounds pretty cool and I'm honestly curious.
Is this removing magicq from demo mode? One more: this thing+ magic dmx full that i already have, is that combination one or two universes? Thanks alot man! 👍
Do these have sound active mode?
You should pre-flow your wires and add some flux. Those solders look a little dry and might not be as strong as they could be.
Patat0four thanks for the tip.
Thank You for this video! God Bless You!
Why not double up for P2/P3 . And do you have issues with not having the jacket meeting the connector collar
Never connect PowerCON connectors while the cable is live. They don't have breaking capacity, making them susceptible to arcing and damage when connected under load. PowerCON TRUE1 doesn't suffer from this problem, but the original PowerCON spec demonstrated here does. Always connect your leads up first, then apply power to the circuit.
my unit stoped showing itself. I cant no longer see airdmx network on any device. do you know if you unplug the antenna, it won't show signal? I have a little bit of issue with the antenna twisting the whole internal and I believe it just broke, but even with the internal wire it should show its SSD. thanks for the video
otherwise informative video, ruined by intrusive, obnoxious beats
Sounds OK glad you enjoyed it.
I actually agree. The music was loud and obnoxious.
Why not to use double cablem? And all wires of that cablem.
Halo sir, im from indonesia. May I ask for help. Because I am very confused using the LC2412 behringer mixer. May I ask you to make a lc2412 mixer behringer installation tutorial video how to connect into parled or beam? Do I have to behringer LC2412 using a dimmer pack to connect into parled or beam? Thank you very much sir...

I'm trying to create a combined gaming room along with my roommate. We are wanting to get colored lights in the background across the back wall (10 feet wide) split between two colors -- red and blue, or blue and green. We want the lights to be able to display on the entire wall but don't know where to start. We're not sure what types of lights to buy or if there are specific fixtures that will create a good look on a budget. We will be adding metal artwork on the wall as well (which is painted/colored). Any thoughts on how we could make this happen, and maybe links to what it would look like?
Joe Long search for LED RGB tape. Buy 2 of those so you’ll have technically two independent fixtures. Amazon has them for fairly cheap.
MINGER LED Strip Lights, Govee 16.4ft RGB LED Light Strip 5050 LED Tape Lights, Color Changing LED Strip Lights with Remote for Home Lighting Kitchen Bed Flexible Strip Lights for Bar Home Decoration www.amazon.com/dp/B07JP5375R/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_-zTqDbA1JDHQH
@@GSLightingSolutions I probably should have been more specific. So between the two different sides of the back wall I'm looking for something that lights up the wall in a circular imagery. The two lights should meet in the center of the wall like this | )( |. Our concept is "Goku" vs "Superman" so having that rounded shape kind of plays off of the light of their abilities and creating a large and distinct separation of theme. Once we have our background set up and I look to add more lighting to our gaming rigs I'll definitely take those light strips into consideration to illuminate desks etc.
Joe Long ah I see. Yes that does change things a bit. There are some options. It really depends on the budget you have. I would look into RGB par 18. Search it on amazon. They have pricing ranging from cheap to decent quality. The equipment I sell is for stage and theatrical use. So it’s more expensive. However the quality is higher. So find a LED par that you like and use that. Par shoot a circular pattern which works great for what you’re wanting.
I'm just starting to play around with magic q so I'm listening intently but the porn music you have playing is loud and distracting compared to your voice volume. Just my experience anyway I'll be checking out all your vids though
scott kefford yes I know. I fortunately I can’t change it now.
Could you drop some links that you were referred to showing how to connect the long rgb cable with the short rgb connector piece? Thank you!
TDubbs it’s actually very simple. Splice the corresponding colors together. You can do a simple google search on how to splice the cables.
thanks for the support!!!! came to support you as well :)
X here is Danny Black thanks. Found your video on #nosmallcreators. I’m mainly focused on creating content on our family channel at the moment. But I plan to try out the live work around you found.
very cool!! looking forward to seeing them. @@GSLightingSolutions
Only if you didn't have the background music! Still a great video though!
Yun Ji Nam I was pretty new to video editing. There are things I wish I could have done differently and that’s one of them.
@@GSLightingSolutions I just finished doing light board operating for a musical at my school , and currently am looking for more informations on lighting designs. I just wanted to see how things work, and this is a great video. Thank you.
Tutorials are awesome dude !
Quite Frank thank you.
Where did you get the cat5 xlr device. With the yellow cable?
Abe Coulter it’s by a company called C-Point. ua-cam.com/video/4LlU-e7dwBI/v-deo.html
You finished it!! I think you shot this footage like in May.
Diary of a Family thanks for the reminder.
Great video...the background music is really distracting though!
